5K runner

I felt so low in energy, had been ill and just sitting in the house on weekends. One day something switched, and I just got up, went to the park near my house and ran, but then was put off when I was out of breath and struggling.

My friend Naomi recommended a 5K running app (there are loads), which helps you slowly build up to 5K over time. The sessions are roughly 25 minutes but you run in increments of 1 and 2 minutes to begin with. It helped me build my confidence, whilst being challenging enough. This got me on the path to running when I couldn’t even run to the end of the street before.
