Lucy Beckwith, Yoga teacher and co-founder of the Yomu Project
‘Yoga holds me up when I am falling. Yoga gave health and vitality to my pregnant body and has kept me a happy, strong mummy for 17 years. When I step on the mat, I can be me, the mat is where I feel at home, safe and majestic’
Lucy has practiced various yoga techniques around the world with teachers in NY, Los Angeles, UK and Barcelona. In 2008 she lived in San Francisco and trained in Vinyasa Flow with Jasmine Tarkeshi at the Laughing Lotus School of yoga.
In Barcelona, Lucy co-created and directs the YOMU project, yoga flow, live cello & beats, born from her inspirations as a dancer and the healing connection the cello has to the body. For two years Lucy ran her own yoga and live music studio in the centre of the city which launched the YOMU project into the world and has taken her to yoga festivals and events all around Europe. Lucy currently teaches her own yoga flow at Soho House BCN and Herrick House Retreats France. She can also be found in Barcelona giving class with YOMU project at the Hidden factory loft and teaching daily yoga to teens at Our Dream School educational project and for the early years at Montessori schools.

In the stressful modern world we often accept chronic conditions like headaches, anxiety, low moods, constant fatigue, rashes, allergies etc as simply part of life and often we've felt like this for so long we forget what it is to feel well.
Health is defined as not simply the absence of disease, but a state of vitality and joy for life."
